On Sunday afternoon the body of a British National was recovered from a house in East Pattaya.
Officials were alerted to a problem by concerned neighbors who reported a foul odor coming from the house and the disappearance of the house occupant.
Inside the house, located in Soi Tangluan, Police found the body of Mr. Peter Crossland aged 62, originally from Liverpool in England.
It appeared he had collapsed behind the front entrance to the house and it is thought he had been dead for some days.
Neighbors told Police that they would usually see Mr. Crossland everyday but had not seen him for the last week and became even more concerned when the odor was noticed, coming from inside the house.
Police found no signs of foul play and expect Mr. Crossland died of natural causes. The British Embassy in Bangkok have been informed.
