The death of the 30 years old Australian Aaron Dobrich in an apartment in Phuket leave police puzzled about what might have caused his early death.
As the Thai language news website Manager Online reported, Chalong Provincial Police Station was informed by an employee about the possible death of a foreigner who was staying in one of the rooms.
A foul smell emanating was reason enough for officers Chalong Provincial Police Station to make their way to the apartment in Rawai subdistrict of Phuket province to investigate the case.
Arriving on the second floor of the apartment building, police used a spare key to enter the room. On the bed, they found the body of Aaron Dobrich, a 30-year-old Australian national, who already was in a decomposing state. According to emergency doctors, he had been dead for at least three days.
Police said they found the body lying shirtless on the bed with traces of blood coming from his mouth. There was also a syringe and variety of medication in the room, an officer said. However, no visible injuries could be found.
Investigators from Chalong Provincial Police Station is further investigating the case.
