The authorities resumed the search for a 

demented Russian woman.

She is now missing for more than a month. 



The search started yesterday with the help of a tracking dog of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Border Patrol Police (BPP).

The 39 year old Inna Obukhova, was last seen o 20 April at the Centra Coconut Resort Samui in Tambon Taling Ngam.


This renewed search, led by Colonel Paithoon Krachachang, has divided his men into three search teams.

The first team, the War Dog Unit of the BPP command, searches in the area where the woman was staying, near her hotel.

The second team will search the Khao Hin Lek mountain in Tambon Taling Ngam, where some Russian residences staying.

The third team will use a patrol boat to look around Koh Ha, an island for Samui.

The small island is the concession area of ​​a private company for collecting bird nests.

Police said the team would check the area after the police received tips that the local population had seen a stranger climb the zippers on Koh Ha.
